The Punisher the way that The Punisher was supposed to be. Tough, unconcerned about romance, and unwilling to spare bullets. All other versions were just a prologue to this. Frank Castle (Punishers real name) is a tortured soul after losing his family to criminals and now he is out for vengeance. War Zone is the tale of a man seeking justice and taking it into his own hands. A barrage of insane artillery and great fight scenes all because someone messed with the wrong man. His nemesis, Jigsaw (named after the Punisher threw him into a glass crusher), is adamant on killing him and in the end, is able to gather dozens of hoodlums who feel the same disdain for this crusader of justice.
This is an action movie. We dont go see them for their storylines or hopes of a defining moment, or moment of clarity. We see them for the action and The Punisher:War Zone does not let us down.
