Congratulations gamers! Another video game has been turned into a movie, and i think they have planned for sequels. Til Schweiger (famous German Actor) stars as the movies main character and uses his quirky German accent and personality to somehow win the heart of a girl he should really have no chance with and fight his way through an island full of genetically enhanced soldiers.
I havent played the game, so this may be a close interpretation (hopefully not) or it may be just the writers concept of the game coming to the silver screen. I think this movie did better in Europe, most likely because it is on par with some b-movie classics such as Universal Soldier and other Van Damme action films. Not great acting, some good fight scenes, couple good effects, and if you are a fan of the video game you may like the movie more. In my opinion, leave this movie alone.
