From Within

After a series of mysterious "suicides", it becomes evident that a curse has been set onto the towns people in response to a murder of a woman believed to be a witch. As the girlfriend of the local pastors son, gets more involved with the witches son, cliques are formed and the church becomes the cleansing agent for the town. The end of the movie is a good ''shocker''.
Religion can be used for good. It can be used for bad. It can be selfless, and it can be used for personal gain. In this movie, the religious people of the town represent what happens when religion gets in the way of what is right, gets distorted and twisted, and is used for power and personal needs. The church was used to hide some dark secrets of the town and ended up causing the people to forget about doing whats right and to just do what would save themselves.
This movie was really entertaining and was actually pretty scary. Good use of the great horror movie scare tactics. Things appearing out of nowhere, freaky noises, ridiculous reasons to go off by yourself and not seek help.......
