The Lodger

Fortunately, I was lucky enough to watch two back-to-back great movies. The Lodger is a new version of an Alfred Hitchcock movie. To be more specific, it was created by using the same book, that Hitchcock read to create his version of the Lodger. With that in mind, the modern version had every bit of suspense and mystery all trapped inside a great story. After the wrong man was convicted of murder, a new Jack the Ripper copycat emerges from being hidden for 7 years. By the end of the movie, everyone is in question and I found myself shocked to find the real killer was who it was.
3 murder suspects, all legit, which is usually not the case and most get ruled out in many murder stories. The Lodger does a great job of creating plausible reasons for all the "murderers" to attack the poor innocent "ladies of the night"(hoes). I highly recommend this movie, not only for the movie itself, but to all those who have enjoyed Hitchcock's work, its a great new look at a classic.

My elementary grading scale: Exceeding Expectations
